Joan Kemp

Joan Riela Kemp departed this life on February 20, 2023. She was 85 years old. She was born on September 8, 1937, in Manhattan NYC. She is formerly from Patchogue New York and has resided in Charlottesville Va. since 1981. Joan leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 67 years, Lawrence G. Kemp Sr.; her three sons Lawrence G. Kemp Jr. (Dawnn), David (Christine), Robert, two daughters Joan Brown, Debbie Brown. One brother John Riela. She was also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome Sr. and Margaret Riela, sister Jean Anello, brother Jerome Jr. Riela and a grandson Grant Kemp. Private Family viewing will be held at Teague Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, Va.
