Jason Lee Shifflett

Jason Lee Shifflett, age 31, went to be with the Lord and his grandmother, sister, and grandad, on September 3, 2015. He was a devoted son, father, brother and friend. Born on May 8, 1984 he was a son to Robin Bryant, who was his mother and father. He is now with his Grandma Margret Marshall, Grandad Edward Sprouse, and his sister Tiffany Fisher. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Justin Shifflett; brothers, B.J. Shifflett, Roger Houchens, Corey Houchens, Lance Houchens, Jonathan Wood, and David Dudley; sisters, Melissa Dudley Walton and Ashley Dudley; nephews, Braden, Bentley, Jordan, Landed, and Ashton; nieces, Alanna, Cameron, and Carlie; God mother, Judy Goolsby; special lady, Teresa Walker; and special friend Nikki Shifflett, who Jay could always count on. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jay was loved by everyone who met him and by everyone that came into his life. His family was his life and his son was number one to him. He loved his son Justin with all of his heart and soul. He cherished him and was so proud to call Justin his son. Jay would help anyone that he could and loved everyone. He loved his boat and being on the water with his son, family, and friends. Jay would brighten the lives of whoever he came in contact with and if they needed money he would give his last penny and he would starve just to make sure nobody else would. He was a good hearted man. He is now in Heaven helping the Lord. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten. There was only one Jason Shifflett and there will never be another man, father, son, brother, and friend like him. Our prayers are with him. Rest in peace Daddy Rabbit, fly your angel wings high. A funeral service will be conducted 4:00pm, Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Teague Funeral Service with Steven Feden officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
