Janette Breeden Carneal

Janette Carneal,78, of Charlottesville, VA passed away on July 6, 2023. Born on September 01, 1944, Janette was the daughter of the late Jesse Breeden and Elizabeth Breeden Gill. She was also preceded in death by her husband Oddie Carneal. She is survived by her three children, son, Oddie Carneal (Teresa), daughters Teresa Woodson (Bernie), and Vicky Shull (Chris), five grandchildren, Daren Hamm (Heather), Stephanie Hamm (Shawn), Cody Woodson, Ashely Woodson, Lee Carneal (Mallory) and three great-grandchildren, Cooper Hamm, Roxie Janette Hamm, and Gavin Hamm. She is also survived by a brother, Jesse Breeden, a sister, Ella Atwater, a dear friend Beverly Morris and several nieces and nephews. Janette was employed by Cosner Brothers Body Shop for 51 years. She loved golf and UVA men’s basketball and was a member of the Hit & Miss golf league for over 20 years. A visitation for Janette will be held on July 11, 2023 at 10:00 am at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, Virginia with a funeral Service to follow at 11:00am. Interment will be held at Monticello Memory Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, VA 22902 following service.
