James B. Shifflett, 90, passed away on July 19, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joyce and 2 daughters, Patricia Faulkiner and her husband, John; and Linda Van Petten. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
James was a proud Veteran of the US Navy. Once he completed his time with the Navy, he went on to work with the Charlottesville Daily Progress for 27 years then worked with the City of Charlottesville as a Heavy Machinist before he retired.
All are welcome to join the family as they lay James to rest at 10:00am on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Holly Memorial Gardens with Pastor Larry Hudson officiating.
