Jean was born July 12, 1936 in Luray, Virginia. She was the daughter of Rex and Amy Plybon. Jean retired from Virginia Industries for the Blind. She was a member of the Monticello Wesylan Church and a member of the National Federation of the Blind. Jean loved to watch Virginia Cavaliers Basketball. Go Hoos!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Hall; sister Charlotte Sprouse; and son-in-law Thomas W. Henley, Jr.
Jean is survived by her children Pamela and her husband Richard Morris, Karen and her husband Keith Thompson, Gilda and her husband George Estes, Kenneth Hall, Keith Hall and his wife Debbie, and Charlene Henley; grandchildren Richard Morris Jr., Brock Morris, Keith Thompson Jr., Derek Thompson, Brian Estes, Brandon Estes, Brett Estes, Emily Hall, and Walker Henley; and great-grandchildren Kayla Hunt, MacKenzie Morris, Camdyn Morris, Alex Thompson, and Addy Estes.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 12pm, at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville. A Celebration of Life will be held on her birthday, July 12, 2021, at 4pm, in Troy, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
