David "Dave" H. Lee

David H. Lee, born on August 23, 1968, in Chicago, IL, passed away on November 8, 2024, in Charlottesville, VA. He was a loving husband, father, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love and loyalty. David served his country with honor as a Lt. Colonel, demonstrating exceptional leadership and commitment throughout his career. But his proudest accomplishments were found in the roles of proud father to his lovely daughters Elizabeth and Victoria, and devoted husband to his wife, Susan Yim. He cherished his family above all, often gathering around the dinner table to enjoy his favorite foods, steak, burgers and BBQ, while sharing laughter and stories. Known for his beautiful smile and hearty laugh, David was also a fearless warrior, embodying strength, faith, and loyalty. David was an avid sports fan, who loved the Chicago Bears and Cubs - which brought him countless hours of entertainment, joy and frustration. David is survived by his wife, Susan Yim, his daughters Elizabeth and Victoria Lee, parents, Ki Joo and Young Sook Lee, and his siblings Rose (Alan) Kajiwara, Lena (Michael) Goebel, and Daniel (Sandi Wyderka) Lee. He impacted the lives of many with his generosity and love, earning the title of true friend to those fortunate enough to call him a friend. A devoted Christian, David lived his life with faith, courage and integrity, which was a guiding force in his actions and relationships. He will be remembered for the love he shared and the countless lives he touched. The family will receive guests on from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, December 13, 2024 and from 10:00am- 11:00am on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Rd. Charlottesville VA 22903. A Celebration of Dave's Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Teague Funeral Service to include military honors. A reception will be held at the church, The Point, 155 Hansen Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22911, with David's favorite food from Mission BBQ, from 1-3pm.
