David was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Sylvia Hensley Cunningham, parents and his sister, Sue Ella Meadows.
David is survived by his daughters, Dr. Virginia Lyn Cunningham and her husband, Edward Sidebottom; Elizabeth Cunningham Bailey and her husband, Robert Bailey; Grandchildren, Lottie, Luke, Leo, William and Bo. His sister Carolyn Cunningham Leckie and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 27, from 5-7pm, at Teague Funeral Home in Charlottesville. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 28, at 11am, at Teague Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
