Charles Seth Morris Sr.

MORRIS, Charles Seth “Charlie” Sr., 78, of Aylett, Va., passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Born July 14, 1936, Charlie is survived by his wife, Jean, his former wife Goldie Morris and their children Carol Jacobs (daughter) and Robert Kirby; Greg (son) and Beth Morris; grandchildren Steven Jones (Heather) and Matthew Morris; sisters Glennis Cook and Agnes Garver; and brother Lyman Morris (Shirley). Charlie was preceded in death by his son, Charles “C.S.” S. Morris Jr.; parents Lyman and Elizabeth Morris; and brother William “Pete” Morris. Charlie served in the National Guard and retired from Local 666 after 40 years of being an electrician. Over the years, Charlie and Jean have rescued 16 animals in need. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014 at Teague Funeral Home, Charlottesville, Va. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at Ivy Creek United Methodist Church, 674 Woodlands Rd., Charlottesville, Va. Interment to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to your local SPCA.
