Catherine Louise Gibson, 79, of Charlottesville, died Friday, October 24, 2014 at a local hospital. Born September 30, 1935 in Albemarle County, she was the daughter of the late Charley James Sandridge, Sr. and Eula Mae Wyant Sandridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Charley James Sandridge, Jr. Mrs. Gibson is survived by her husband of 58 years, William L. Gibson, Sr.: one son, William Lloyd Gibson, Jr.; three sisters, Mary Konn, Rachel Beavers and Bernice Range; three brothers, Gene Sandridge, Tommy Sandridge and Joe Sandridge; one grandchild, Nellie; and one great grandchild, Georgie. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Holly Memorial Gardens with Pastor Brian R. Cadle officiating.
