Catherine “Cathy” Ellen Fox (Shaver), 60, of Charlottesville passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at her home.
Catherine native to Virginia was born on September 6, 1963 to the late Joseph and Virginia (Batten) Shaver.
Once her children were born, she devoted her life to raising them. Her grandchildren were her life and she loved each and everyone of them dearly. Any child that entered her home was treated like her own. She was the mother that any child would have been blessed to have. Her three children are devastated by the loss of their beloved mother.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her siblings Joe Shaver, Doris Hensley, Jimmy Shaver, Mickey Shaver, Henry Shaver and Becky Smith, infant sister Gloria. She is also preceded in death by her best friend/“Sis” Gail Gentry.
Catherine is survived by her loving children, Joe Fox and his wife, Nikki; Brandy Fox and her fiance, Calvin; Samantha Fox-Horn and her husband Paul. Her grandchildren, Taylor, Devyn, Bailey, Peyton, Jaxon, Logan, Jordan, Autumn, Dyllan, Annabelle, Olivia and Isaac. Great grandchildren Rosalie, Vyla , Nonnali, Easton and Cole. She is also survived by her brother Dale Shaver and his wife Bertha. Brother Tommy shaver and his wife Sandy. A brother in-law Mike Smith and sister in law Wendy Shaver Many many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly!
A celebration of Catherine's life will be held 11am on Saturday July 27, 2024 at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Rd. Charlottesville, VA 22903. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the celebration.
