Ben Leeroy Staton, 84, of Waynesboro, died Saturday, December 13, 2014 at a local hospital.
Born December 4, 1930 in Albemarle County, he was the son of the late James and Annie Wood Staton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Debra Staton and Brenda Jacobs, and eleven siblings.
Ben is survived by his wife Juanita Morris Staton; two daughters, Barbara Proffitt and Cheryl Sipe; one son, Ben Franklin Staton; one sister, Neva Morris; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Teague Chapel. Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service at Teague Funeral Home.
