Amanda Bell Gentry Addington Amanda Addington went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 29, 2015. Her husband and children were with her when she passed. She leaves behind H.M. Addington, her wonderful and loving husband of 62 years. She also leaves three wonderful and loving sons Alan Addington, Donny Addington and his loving wife, Deborah, and Barry Dale Addington and his wife Terry; grandchildren, Matthew Addington, Ashley Addington and her husband David, Marissa Addington, Ryan Addington and his wife Jackie; Marc Irvin and his wife Catlin, and Mandy Ward and her husband, Matthew; and great grandchildren, Sophia, Maxton, and Macie. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory her siblings, Melvin Gentry and his wife Gene, Nelson Gentry and his wife Marie, Mary Jane Larson, and Fannie Colvin. Amanda’s great sense of humor and beautiful smile will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Cherry Avenue Christian Church by Scott Carter and Stan Martin. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, Amanda’s wish is that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1445 Rio Rd E # 104, Charlottesville, VA 22901. The family would like to express their most heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of the Piedmont, Dr. Ramsdale, and Dr. Douvas for their loving care.
