Alice was born on February 19, 1924, in Earlysville, Virginia, to the late McKinley Goggins and Cordelia Woodfolk Goggins. She attended and graduated from Albemarle Training School. She retired from the University of Virginia-Biochemistry Lab, where she worked for many years.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by; Alice Woodfolk Churchman (Grandmother); (Brother) James W. Goggins; (Sister) Eva Kennedy. 2 sons, Father McKinley Williams and Henry H. Williams, Jr. One daughter, Cordelia W. Fitch and Four grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memories: One son, Charles L. Williams of Charlottesville, VA. One devoted daughter, Georgia Little (Harold) of Washington, DC. One devoted play daughter Ms. Brenda Harris. One devoted play son Mr. James Bruce of Charlottesville, Va. Devoted grandchildren, Ms. Alison Williams, Mr. Michael White (Tammy) of Charlottesville, VA.
Ms. Travis Little of Clinton, MD. Mr. Marcus Williams of Little Rock, AR. Mr. Maurice (Rip) Burch of Cleveland, OH. Ms. Stacey Williams of Texas. A host of great grand and great great grandchildren. Special grandchildren; Dr. Ted Silecki, Mr. Erin Teel, Mr. Edgar Silecki-Teel, and Mr. Alex Silecki-Teel. One sister-n-law, Mrs. Louise Jefferson of Charlottesville, Va. Two nieces; Mrs. Carolyn Miller of Charlottesville, Va. Mrs. Myriel Heath of Upper Marlboro, MD. Her Anderson Street Family and a host of cousins and many devoted friends. A special Thank You to the Cedars Health Facility for their wonderful care of our beloved Alice.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
