Willie Paul McCree

Mr. McCree was a member of the armed forces serving with the United States Air Force. After marrying in 1963, he moved to the Midwest. There he retired from General Telephone & Electric Corp. (GTE) where he had been employed as a lineman.

Mr. McCree was preceded in death by his wife, Lee Anna McCree on December 4, 2014; his infant daughter, Patricia McCree; 7 sisters, Marie Griffin, Josephine Jones, Daisy Hicks and Ruby Jenkins of Cairo, GA, Ida M. Blake and Mattie Tucker of Orange, NJ and Genvea Pittman of Miami, FL; 6 brothers, Lee McCree, Rudolph McCree and George McCree of Cairo, GA, Robert McCree and Albert McCree of Orange, NJ and Dave McCree of Tampa, FL.

Survivors include his daughters, Pamela Ann McCree-Woods and her husband Zachary of Raleigh, Paula McCree-Bailey and her husband Weldon of Charlotte; a granddaughter, Winter Woods and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at11:00 am, Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, NC. Friends may visit Tuesday evening at the funeral home where the family will be present from 5 to 7 pm.

Military Honors and burial will take place Wednesday at 2:00 pm in Salisbury National Cemetery.
