William "Bill" M. Walker Jr.

William “Bill” M. Walker, Jr., 89, of Charlotte, passed away in Pineville August 12, 2020. Born August 14, 1930 in Charlotte, he was the son of the late William M. and Mae Bell (Morton) Walker, Sr. He was the husband of the late Shirley Anne Graham Walker for 44 years.

A U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War, Bill retired Bowman Trucking Company. He was a member of Chadwick United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post 353 Paw Creek.

Bill was a 100 % dedicated family man who loved all unconditionally. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his children, Sherry (Sam) Pistone, Tammy (Johnny) Ross, Tim (Adriane) Walker and Jim (Tammy) Walker; grandchildren, Shane, Shannon, Heather (Buddy), John, Jr., Aundria, Stephanie, Kristy, Timmy, Hannah, Ryan, Chris Pace, Tonya, Tyler and Cameron; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Jeannie Walker; grandson, Santo; 8 sisters, 1 brother and his grandson, Santo.

Funeral Service 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
