William “Bill” Roy Simmons, 61, died Saturday, September 3, 2011 at his residence. Born in Arcadia, FL on March 12, 1950, he was a son of the late Harold Lee Simmons and Nannie Elizabeth Engle. Mr. Simmons was a plumber and volunteered his skills to help build houses for Habitat for Humanity. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting.
Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife, Catherine Coble Simmons; two children, three step-children and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved pets.
A graveside committal of cremains will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, September 9, 2011 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Drive.
