William "Bill" Crump

He was born on Aug. 9, 1944, in Charlotte, NC, to Horace and Lillie Mae Deese Crump.

He retired from General Tire and Rubber Company in Charlotte as a warehouse supervisor.

Survivors include his wife Linda Fortner Crump, Charlotte; his daughter, Greta Crump Sifford (Bryan), Charlotte; five siblings, Cecil Crump, Charlotte; Vernon “Sox” Crump (Loretta), Mooresville, NC; John Crump (Bobbie), Charlotte; Bruce Crump (Sylvia), Florida; and Barbara Sanders (Bill), Virginia.

His family will receive friends on Monday, May 14, 2012, from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Stough Memorial Baptist Church, 705 Lakeview Drive, Pineville, NC, followed by his service at 11:30a.m. Reverend Rodney Cripps and Reverend Steve All will officiate. Interment with Masonic rites will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Marian H. Crump; one brother, Horace Crump; and one sister, Betty Bass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill’s memory may be given to The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Str., Oxford, NC 27565, or to the Stough Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund.
