William Glenn Craig

William Glenn “Bubba” Craig, 47, of Pineville, passed away on June 17, 2012. He was born February 13, 1965 in Rock Hill, SC to William Hazel Craig Jr. and Betsy Caldwell. He was a 1983 graduate of Northwestern High School in Rock Hill. Bubba was an Emergency Medical Technician and Firefighter for many years with the Pineville Volunteer Fire and Rescue and with Presbyterian Hospital Critical Care Transport team for 11 years. Most recently, he worked with Duke Energy as a Safety Training Specialist at the Mount Holly Training Center where he used those years of experience to teach others how to help save lives and comfort those suffering and in pain.

Bubba is survived by his wife of 19 years, Susan Griffin Craig; children, Scooter, Katie and Jacob; sisters, Brooke Kaiser (Lanny) of Matthews and Beth Champion (Mark) of Gastonia; nieces, Heather Bodenhamer and Karly Griffin and nephews, Kevin Kaiser and Connor Griffin.

The family would like to thank all of the nurses, doctors, care techs, food nutrition and housekeeping staff of Nursing Unit 6A and the Dialysis Unit of Presbyterian Hospital for all their care and support over the past year.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 20 from 5:30 – 7 pm in the vestibule of Harrison United Methodist Church, 15008 Lancaster Hwy., Pineville, NC 28134 followed by a Memorial Service at 7 pm.
