Born August 11, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio, Wendy was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Dora Rosen Williams. She graduated from Shaker Heights High School in Cleveland and continued her studies at Vassar College and Case Western Reserve University.
Wendy will be especially remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor, as well as for her love of reading, and passion for world travel, art and culture. She was an avid Scrabble champion and Life Master at bridge, as well as a member of Friends of the Mint.
Wendy’s family includes two children, Jennifer Cohen Golynsky (Leon) of Atlanta, GA and Tom Cohen (Christina) of Charlotte; two sisters, Nancy Lerner and Eileen Knavel; as well as her beloved feline friend, Keats.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at Harry & Bryant Company, 500 Providence Road, at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 17th. Wendy’s family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
