Wanda Jean Valentine

Wanda J Valentine passed away on Tuesday, July 25th surrounded by her family. Wanda was born November 27,1937 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Amanda and Dent Hawkins. She was preceded in death by five siblings that she loved dearly.

Wanda spent her working years with Belks Store Services in Charlotte, NC as a supervisor, retiring from that role after 30 years of service. She loved her family more than anything, and never missed an important event or family gathering. Above all, she cherished her role as Nanny, a grandmother to five. Her freezer was always filled with ice cream for her grandchildren when they visited. At home she loved taking care of her yard, tending to her flowers and watching all the birds that came by.

Wanda is survived by her two daughters Cindy V. Kantsios and her husband Nick of Charlotte, NC and Debbie V. Cox and her husband Bob of Fort Mill, SC. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Maliyah, Melissa (Chris), Grant ( Chrissy), Brad ( Rachael), and Anna (Brooks). Wanda's greatest joy in her life were her 3 great grandchildren, Zoey, Ben, and Reece.

There will be a private graveside service for the family.
