Walter Jeffrey “Jeff” Daniel, 70, passed away December 22, 2017. He was born July 21, 1947, the son of Thomas and Margaret Daniel of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife Karen Daniel, daughters Deborah Pender and Kathryn Daniel, son-in-law Gibbon Pender, grandchildren Lauren and Robert Pender, brother Darryl Daniel and wife Wanda, sister Carol Branch and husband Blythe, and sister-in-law Debbie Byrd and husband Rick.
After serving in the Army and graduating from East Carolina University, Jeff operated his own accounting firm for the majority of his career. He volunteered in leadership roles at the Charlotte Jaycees and a local EAC group. Jeff loved the outdoors, studying history and current events, and spending time with his family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 19, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, 200 W Trade Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
