Tracy Paige

Mr. Paige, age 86 of Belmont passed away Friday June 28, 2013 at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Gastonia. He was born June 30, 1926 in New Salem, NC son of the late James Winston and Cleona Mae Haigler Paige. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Faye Mills Paige on February 15, 1994 and a son James Russell Paige “Rusty” on June 28, 2006. Mr. Paige was a member of Berryhill Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher. Mr. Paige retired from A&P Bakery, served in WWII in the 131st tank division from 1944-1946 and was awarded a Purple Heart. Surviving is a brother, Willard Hoover Paige, son, Doug Paige and wife Barbara, daughter- in- law, Lisa Paige Lewis, grandson, Chip Paige and wife Nicole, granddaughter Carrie Paige and 3 great grandchildren. As well many other loved ones including aunts, uncles, cousins, church members and friends. The family will receive friend from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Monday July 1, 2013 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC 28212, with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home conducted by Reverend Alan Beard at Sharon Memorial Park.
