Tommy Collier

Tommy graduated from Independence High School in 1973. He was a mechanic for years and later owned and operated his company, TC Towing and Hauling of Indian Trail, NC. Tommy had a way of making you laugh with his silly jokes and witty personality. A bad day seemed better after a short phone call with him.

He enjoyed the simple things in life like kicking back in the recliner to watch the NASCAR races on Sunday afternoon, especially cheering on the Intimidator. He liked cooking BBQ for family celebrations and working on cars or dirt bikes for his kids and grandkids in his garage, which remained open to them when needed. His ability to fix anything with a motor was a teaching skill that taught them so much over the years. Paw-Paw will truly be missed everyday.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Gail Collier; his children, Chris Blackwell, Janice Hinnant (Jimmy), Patrick Blackwell (Jane), Ashley Connell (Danny); his ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held in his honor at his home. Cards or flowers are welcomed by those wanting to show their support for the family.
