Terri Lynne Hild, 58, passed away at Carolinas Medical Center, on March 9, 2018. She was born July 16, 1959, in Louisville, Kentucky. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Paul A. Kutter, and her father, Albert Hild and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Glena Ruth (Foell) Hild, and her sister, Stacey Jean Hild.
After graduating from Eastern Kentucky University with high distinction where she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, she was recruited by Duke Power in Charlotte, and worked 15 years in its information technology department. Later she worked for Belk Store Services, then as an independent consultant.
Terri was always ready to help any person or animal who crossed her path. With her lively spirit and quick sense of humor, she could brighten any room with her smile and quiet laugh.
Terri and Paul were married May 9, 1987. She was active in the Metro YMCA and volunteered with the Charlotte Humane Society. Terri had a special ability to calm seemingly untamable cats, and took several into her home over the years. In addition to her work and pets, she enjoyed photography and traveling with Paul and enjoyed Saturday evening performances at the Blumenthal Broadway Lights Series since their inception.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 13 from 5 pm to 8 pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1623 Carmel Rd. Charlotte, NC with a reception immediately following. A memorial service is being planned for Louisville, Kentucky, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Humane Society of Charlotte, Harris YMCA, or Retired Thoroughbred Home in Lexington, KY.
