I was so sorry to hear of Dr. Allen's passing.  He was our vet for 25 years and will be missed not only by me but also by my fuzzy children.  May you rest in peace.

We just learned of Dr. Allen's passing and we are so sad to lose such a wonderful person.  We've known him for 28 years and he was always the kindest and gentlest person and we will miss miss him so much. Prayers to his family.  We will remember his smile and quiet laugh.

We just found out today about Dr. Allen's passing.  Needless to say, we are shocked and very saddened.  Dr. Allen and the staff were always warm and caring towards our pets and we greatly appreciated it.  Our thoughts are with Dr. Allen's family as well as the staff at Park Cedar.

I first met Dr Allan 26 years ago when I was a junior in high school. I remember how nervous I was when I first met him. I wanted to become a vet, and was asking Dr Allen if I could volunteer at Park Cedar Animal Hospital to gain some experience. It was my first real job. Over the following years I worked for him (soon after I started volunteering for him, he started paying me) he became someone I looked up to. Even today, as I am working with my employees, I ask myself `what would Tate do?`

You will be truly missed Dr. Allen.

Dr. Allen will truly be missed.  We were so fortunate to have a vet like him who cared for our Buddy and was always there for us with his patience and great knowledge.  Our prayers go out to his family at this time.  We are so sorry for your loss.

i just found out and am so sorry to hear this.  We loved Dr. Allen and his staff.  David and I as well as Sophie, Sally and Samson are thinking of the staff, and wish you well in future endeavors.

My dogs, Lexi and Taylor, loved Tate Allen (as did I!).  The special attention and high level of care that he gave my dogs will be difficult, probably impossible, to replace. I will miss Tate and will always remember the great care that he gave my family.

I have just found out today about Dr. Allen. I am so sad that he is no longer here to love and take care of my Maze and Rema. My thoughts and prayers go out to all  his family and friends. I especially send love and prayers to my dear friends at Park Cedar, who have "carried" me through good times and bad, healthy pets and sick pets, and the loss of two of my babies, Meg and Ivy. I know Dr. Allen is frolicking in heaven with all his four footed friends who have preceded him!!! Thank you, Dr. Allen. Thank you dear friends at Park Cedar.

We were one of Dr. Allen's first clients and were with him for over 30 years. He was compassion, professional, and had a wonderful bedside manner. We had to put three of our dogs to sleep at Park Cedar and he was there to console us, and let us know how much he cared. He will be missed by so many people and animals.

We were so very shocked to hear of Dr. Allen's passing. He had been our veterinarian for our “four legged babies” for over 25 years. It was so obvious to us from day one, the love he had for his job and his “patients”. Years ago our cat for 17 years became terminally ill, resulting in the decision to put him to sleep. Dr Allen respected our last wishes and handled everything with such compassion, as we said our goodbyes. Since then, any care or needs our remaining dogs have needed were nothing less than the best. We always felt that our pets were in the hands of a family member and he treated each animal as if it were his own. He, along with his beside manner, his talent and his knowledge will be greatly missed by us and all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and co-workers as they deal with their unexpected loss. May each one of you find peace knowing he will now be surrounded by the people and the animals he loved on earth, caring once again for the “angels” we lost!

Dr. Allen took such good care of our pets. We will miss him.

I worked for Dr. Allen in the early 1990's for 2 years, and had great respect for him.  He clearly loved his patients and was a talented veterinarian.  My condolences to his family.

We were saddened to hear of Dr. Allen's passing.  He showed such dedication and compassion treating our pets for over 24 years.  We will miss him very much.  Our prayers are with his family, friends, and staff.

Dr Allen saved the life of my beloved dog Kym after she was snake bit. Now they are in heaven together. I will probably see you both soon, save me a place at the table.

I was real sorry to hear about Tate. We grew up together. Laura, Jud, and Mary, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of the family.

Dr. Allen delivered all of my beloved Bulldog puppies and he and his staff made me feel like part of a family. He was a wonderful man and will be deeply missed. May he rest in eternal peace.

For 25 years Dr Allen has taken care of the beloved pets that our daughters dragged home. His deep compassion for their afflictions and sometimes pain and his careful handling during examinations was always reassuring.  Behind his serious demeanor hid a keen sense of humor.  He will be deeply missed by all in the family including our current pooch Kaya who considers Park Cedar to be her second home. Our hearts go out to all in the Park Cedar family.

It is so sad to say farewell to a dear friend. I only hope that you realize how many people admired & loved you. And, I know so many of the helping hands you gave to those in need & insisted no one know.  For those who never really knew you, you were such a tender hearted person. Gruff on the outside but mush on the inside - that was you. They say never trust a person that your dog doesn't like.  Well, I saw very few dogs at Park Cedar that did not like you & they usually did not like anyone. I cannot think of going by Park Cader & you not being there. It will be so sad for those of us (both two legged & four legged).  For some reason, we just always assumed you would be there when we needed you. But, I guess you were more needed somewhere else. Rest with the Angels Dr Allen & hope to see you again one day.

Dr. Allen gave me my first job in veterinary medicine back in 1984. Thirty years later I am still doing the job he taught me. I will be forever grateful for his patience, advice and support all those years ago.

We are deeply saddened to learn of Dr. Allen's passing.  During the last fourteen years we found him to be a kind and gentle healer, always sharing his knowledge with us while calmly attending our pets.  He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

We were so shocked to hear of Dr Allen's passing. He has taken care of all of our beloved pets, past and present, over the last 30 years, and he and his staff have always been so kind and compassionate. Our hearts go out to the staff at Park Cedar and also to Dr Allen's family. We have all lost a very special man much too soon.

Dr Allen will be missed so very much by our family.  We have a lot of memories with him over the past 20 some years. He provided superb care and love for our dogs. He will always be missed and never forgotten.

Dr. Allen will be sorely missed by myself and my pets. We greatly appreciated his special kindness and gentle way with animals. I am truly sorry for his family's loss.

The world has lost a true friend to animals. I am grateful to have been able to have my pets in his care for many years.

My wife and I and especially Sasha are deeply saddened at the loss of Dr. Allen. Even though Sasha was a patient of Dr. Allen for only two years, he and his staff have always treated her as if she were theirs.  We will miss him dearly.

Dr Allen has cared for many of my pets over the years and he and his staff were always so kind and patient and Dr Allen always took time to explain things to me and educate me on his plans for treatment. His death is a shock and as always proves just how precious every day is.

I worked for Dr.Allen for 10 years. You could not ask for a better person to work for. He was my boss and a dear friend. I still can't believe that I will never see or talk to him again. Go take care of the animals in heaven they are waiting on you. Rest in peace tater.

I met Tate a few years ago while he was in Spartanburg. We became friends as soon as we met and have been friends ever since. Tate will be missed and remembered by all that ever met him. Rest In Peace my friend, Rest In Peace.
