To Tara's family and friends. I mean no disrespect in sharing this picture. I'm sharing every picture I have of Tara here. I loved Tara very much and she was such a special person. I share this photo with the utmost noble and respectful intentions.

Such a cute little girl.

This picture was taken not too long after I first met Tara. All of us "hoods", that's what they called us. You know, jean jackets, heavy metal t-shirts, sneaking cigarettes behind the gym, etc.. We all hung out on this hill beside the soccer field during lunch period. There was a revolving group of friends on the hill at any given period/day. Well one day there was this cute little girl that I'd never seen before. She had shortish brown hair and these gorgeously unassuming brown eyes. I remember she was so shy and quiet, that after a few minutes I turned around and started to pick on her a bit. I accused her of not letting anyone else get a word in, in the bantering conversation. And over the 50 minutes of the lunch period I picked on her several more times. I was rather shy myself and it was somewhat out of character to be so bold as to confidently engage this cute, new girl. I was just plain smitten. Before the week was over she asked me if I wanted to come over to her house on Saturday. And Monday we both asked each other if we wanted to "go steady". We were absolutely head over heels in love for the next 2 years.

She was the cutest little girl ever. Even though I wouldn't meet her until years after this photo was taken, I see so much of her personality in this endearing little blond girl in the pink dress.

I loved Tara very much. She was my first girlfriend and my first true love! And she will always be. We met when we were each 13-years-old and we were exclusive boyfriend and girlfriend for over the following 2 years. At that age it was a lifetime. And now at the age of 53, it seems like even more of a lifetime. We had so many great, wonderful times together and she has always remained one of the very sweetest and dear persons I've ever been blessed to know.  She taught me how to kiss. She taught me everything a woman teaches a young man. She used to write me a letter everyday while we were together. Sometimes we would go back to school Monday morning and she would have written me 1 or even 5 letters over the weekend even though we almost always spent Saturdays together at her house on Statesville Ave. just down the road from J.T. Williams Jr. High.,.. That big old house. Tara was just the absolute sweetest girl and she changed my life. I'm so regretful that I didn't have the chance to say goodbye to her.

Tara I will always love you, and will forever be in your debt for teaching me how to love, and how to be loved. Please, please let there be a heaven so you can be there. I love you.

My sweet sister, we had some fun times in our younger years. Like the time you took me to school and I kept telling you the wrong way to go, hoping to be late ,lol!!! To be honest, I skipped that day anyway 🤣 Thank you for all you did for momma, she really needed you as much as you needed her when George passed away. I love you Sis,I'm glad you are out of pain and with your dad. We'll always remember the good times ❣Your little brother, Rob...

TarTar, you got this! You gave me so much joy over the last 35 years. You've were there for me when I needed your love and comfort. We had lots of great adventures and I get a laugh when I think of them! I know your Dad and Nanny will show you around Heaven and get you up to speed on who is who and how things are done. I will miss you always, but I rejoice in the knowledge that you are out of pain and in the care of our Lord. Till I see you again, tell everyone hello for me and have a blast!
