Born September 26, 1943 in Zebulon, NC, she is the daughter of the late Elvis Elvin Alford and Irene Alford Perry, and had been employed for many years at Northside Christian Academy working in the bookstore and daycare.
Sue and her husband, Richard were faithful members at Northside Baptist Church for many years and in recent years were worshiping at Laurel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Richard Sischo; a daughter, Amy Murphy and her husband, Brian; a step-son, Perry Sischo and his wife, Melanie; a brother, Jerry Mike Alford and his wife, Diane; a sister, Barbara Faircloth and her husband, Ron; and a grandson, Travis Murphy.
Preceding Sue in death were three siblings, Kay Tucker, Peggy Short and Walter Alford.
Funeral services are planned for 2:00 pm Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Laurel Baptist Church, 11801 Plaza Rd Extension, Charlotte, NC 28215. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the church.
Committal services and burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
