Sue Ann Munao

Born on April 27,1935 in Mineola, NY and passed away June 18, 2022. She graduated from Mineola HS in 1953 as part of the National Honor Society. She married her HS sweetheart, Roy in 1954. When Roy joined IBM in 1956 they moved to Poughkeepsie NY and raised 7 children. They relocated to Raleigh NC in 1976 and then to Charlotte in 1979. Sue also lived 15 years in Florida. Sue held many administrative positions in her career. She also worked 6 years in Personnel at Delmar in Matthews. She was very active at St. John Neumann Catholic Church including the food pantry.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years Roy, her children Patti Bolick (Mike) of Salisbury NC, Michael Munao (Sue) of Mint Hill NC, Karol Patyk (John) of Tega Cay SC, Diane Munao of Matthews NC, Roy Munao (Wini) of Matthews NC, and Susanne Elekes of Cumberland Va. Sue was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Munao in 1983 and sister, Joan Baldwin of NY. She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as well as her brother Richard Neway of Fla.

Sue has been cremated and a full Mass is scheduled at 1:45 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Charlotte NC on July 9th with Fr. Peter Pham residing. There will be a private burial at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte NC.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 prior to service.

Reception will immediately follow Mass.
