Born March 10, 1938 in Bristol, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Earl Sanford Chambers and Lassie White Chambers. The joy of Sue’s life was her family. She adored her husband, Robert G. DeHart, and was also a devoted mother and grandmother.
Sue is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert (Bob) DeHart; two children, Scott DeHart and Greg DeHart (wife Angie), all of Charlotte; and four beloved grandchildren, Justin, Bailey, Lexi and Jack; as well as her brothers and sister, Nancy Chambers Toney, Johnny Chambers (wife Nancy) and David Chambers (wife Teresa), all of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Earl Chambers, Jr.
A service to celebrate Sue’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 1st, in Harry & Bryant’s “Chapel in the Oaks”, 500 Providence Road. The family will receive friends following the service.
