Steve Willard Reggettz

He was born on September 5, 1948, in Washington, DC, the son of the late Paul and Nellie Reggettz.

Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College of Business and Management in 1976. He and his wife are longtime supporter of the University of Maryland Athletic Department helping to provide scholarships for student-athletes for over 40 years.

Prior to attending the University of Maryland, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1970 to 1976.

He had a distinguished career with the United States Secret Service for 30 years serving as a senior Internal Auditor. He retired in 2006 as the Deputy Director of the Procurement Division.

In addition to his wife, Rosalie, he is survived by his stepson, John Gibson and his wife, Karen, grandchildren, Brett and Tori Gibson, his brothers, George Pettit and Joe Reggettz, and his sisters, Mary Ann Webb and Janet Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Nellie Reggettz and his daughter, Laurie Marie Reggettz.

Family and friends will be received at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Mint Hill, NC 28227 on Monday, November 14, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to Noon with a Graveside service to follow at 12:30pm at Sunset Memory Gardens 8901 Lawyers Road Mint Hill, NC 28227.

A reception will follow the ceremony at the Reggettz home in the Cresswind Community.
