Sibyl A. McLendon Monroe passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015. She was an exceptional mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, friend and a “die hard” Carolina Panthers fan. She leaves to mourn her passing her two children, Adrienne Monroe, Orlando, FL. and Brandon Monroe, Monroe, NC; grandchildren, Karina Mendez, Bralyn Monroe, Akyrion Monroe, Aziya Monroe, McKenzie Seals, Acishijiya Cureton, all of Charlotte, NC; 7 sisters; 5 brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends and also her children’s father, Melvin Monroe, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 20, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service, Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at The Park Church South Charlotte, 13733 Lancaster Highway, Pineville NC 28134, with interment following in Crown Memorial Park.
