Sharon Ann Giesey, 64, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, formerly of Saxonburg, PA, died Friday in her home surrounded by her family. Born on October 1, 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of Richard Gray and Rojeanne Rossiter Gray.
Sharon graduated from Slippery Rock University, and was a middle-school teacher at Knoch. She married Paul Giesey on December 26, 1991, who was the love and the light of her life. After retiring in 2009, Sharon moved to South Carolina, where she lived life to the fullest.
Surviving her are her mother, Rojeanne Gray of Pineville, NC; her children, Jon (Staci) Dylewski of Franklin Park, PA, Maggie Dylewski of Boston, MA, and Sarah (Pat) Powers of Charlotte, NC; her grandsons, Joseph Dylewski, Alex Dylewski, and Nathan Powers; her stepchildren, Mitchell Giesey of Pittsburgh, PA and Christopher (Amy) Giesey of Martinsburg, WV; her sisters, Roberta Gray of Gibsonia, PA and Carole (John) Nelson of Fort Mill, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Paul Giesey; her granddaughter, Ally Susan Powers; her sister, Susan Argall; and her father, Richard Gray.
Funeral services and burial will be private for the family.
