Sengphet Thavy

Sengphet was born in Laos on July 5, 1959. She had a passion for many things in life including shopping, sewing, cooking and traveling. She was known for her love of purses and would even buy them just to collect and look at. She loved to dress up and always wore the finest clothes. Sengphet loved to travel making trips to Thailand and Cambodia so that she could see the different cultures.

After retiring from her job as a meter reader, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of more than forty years, Dong Chanthavong along with two sons, Stephen Thavy and Jeffy Chanthavong. The memories that Sengphet created will be remembered forever by all who loved her. She touched the lives of many and her love will continue to carry on.

Services for Sengphet Thavy will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive Charlotte NC, 28208. A visitation will be on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 5:00pm-9:00pm.
