Scarlet Ingold Rogers

Scarlet is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, Raymond, and her daughters, Carrie Breswitz (James) and Kimberly Rice (Jason), and four grandchildren: Landon, Jackson, Holden, and Madison, whom she loved dearly.

Scarlet was born in Greensboro, NC to the late Macon and Ila Ingold. She was a track and basketball star in high school. She later received her nursing degree and married her high school sweetheart Raymond in Greensboro, NC. She spent several years caring for children as a Pediatric Oncology Nurse.

Scarlet moved to Charlotte in 1976 and called this her home. She always loved being on the tennis court at Olde Providence Racquet Club for the past 40 years. The countless lifelong friends she made always made her smile.

Scarlet loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family. Her greatest joy was having everyone together around the table. In recent years, she enjoyed traveling to Italy, Canada, Alaska, and Switzerland with her friends and family.

A service of celebration and remembrance will be held at McEwen Funeral Home-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210, on Sunday, October 29th. The family will have a visitation from 2:00 pm-2:45 pm and the service will follow at 3:00 pm.
