Sarah Liles Suiter

Born November 7, 1922 in McColl, SC, Sarah was a daughter of the late Sherwood Edmund Liles and Emma Jane Welch Liles and a graduate of Central High School’s Class of 1940. For many years she was a devoted member of Mouzon United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Martha Circle and willingly gave her time to many of the activities of the women of the church. Mrs. Suiter is also remembered for her love of golfing, playing bridge and working in her garden.

She is survived by her son, James B. Suiter, Jr. of Carrboro and her daughter, Jane Suiter Robertson and husband, Dr. L. Wayne Robertson, of Littleton; and two grandsons, Michael Suiter Robertson and Steven Suiter Robertson; as well as her brothers, John Richardson Liles and Jack Siceloff Liles, and a sister, Catherine McRae Long.

Her husband, James B. Suiter, Sr., preceded her in death.

A service to celebrate Mrs. Suiter’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 31st at Mouzon United Methodist Church. Her family will receive friends at the church following the service.
