Sarah Deaton

Born June 21, 1925 in Mecklenburg County, Lib was a daughter of the late Henry Smith and Ola Day Conner Smith. She was a longtime member of Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church.

Preceding Lib in death was her husband, Harry Deaton.

Surviving is her sister, Gladys Hillman of Charlotte and many special nieces and nephews, with special thanks to Kristin Hillman, who assisted with the final care giving needs.

Friends may visit from 5 to 7:30 pm Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at McEwen Funeral Service-Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd., Charlotte. Graveside services and burial are planned for 1:00 pm Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Pastor Ken Craig officiating.
