Sarah N. Byrum

She was born on April 30, 1925, in Union County to Hartsell and Gleanie Gaddy Nash.

She was a member of the Midwood Baptist Church in Charlotte.

She was married to Ruby Doyle Tucker from 1946 until his death in 1991. She married Howard Byrum in 1998. Mr. Byrum died in 2007.

Survivors include two sons Alan (Debbie) Tucker, Belmont, NC, and Neal Tucker, Peachland, NC; two sisters, Clemmie Floyd,

Union County, NC, and Johnsie Thomas, Marshville, NC; and two grandchildren.

Her family will receive friends on Wed., Dec. 28, 2011, from 1-2pm at the Midwood Baptist Church, 2029 Mecklenburg Ave., Charlotte, NC, followed by her service at 2pm. The Rev. Dr. Garry Baldwin will officiate. Interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery in Charlotte.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sarah’s memory may be made to the Midwood Baptist Church.
