Sara H. Cashion

Sara Herring Cashion, age 83 of Charlotte died September 20, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center. A visitation will be from 7-9PM Tuesday evening at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home . A service to celebrate her life will be at 2:00PM Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, Reverends Ray Hardee and Tony Harper officiating. Interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park.

Mrs. Cashion was born in Dillon, SC May 2, 1927.. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she had taught pre-school kindergarten and also had served as a pre-school Sunday School Teacher many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Martin and husband, C. B. of Charlotte, son, Dennis Jackson Cashion, Jr. of Indian Trail, NC, grandchildren, Brian Spears and wife, Mary, Brent Spears and wife, Kristie, Justin Martin, Carla Martin, Allie Cashion,and Matthew Martin, great grandchildren, Brooks Spears, Grace Spears, Brayden Spears, and Collin Martin, two step-grandchildren and four step great grandchildren, and a sister Libby Barfield of Dillon, SC. And many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Jackson (Jack) Cashion and a daughter, Debbie Martin and several brothers and sisters..
