Samuel L. Williams

Mr. Williams, 69, of Charlotte, NC, died December 4, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital.

He was born February 12, 1942 in Lyman, South Carolina, one of three children to the late Clyde and Gladys Williams. Sam served in the United States Air Force and had worked as a Field Engineer with the 3M Corporation and later Turbitrol Inc. for 15 years. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Friends may call on the Williams family from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 at Southside Baptist Church, 301 Elmhurst Road, Charlotte. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Williams will be held 3:00 PM in the sanctuary with Pastor Steve Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Leticia R. Williams of Charlotte, NC; five children: Sam Williams, Jr. and wife, Cindy of Rock Hill, SC; Kevin Williams and wife, Leigha of Ft. Mill, SC; Cristina Williams, Ana Williams and Kelly Williams all of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren: Amanda Crane, Brayden Williams, Chandler Williams, Isabella Harris, Jayden Dolores and granddaughter Emily Dolores on the way; and a brother, Clyde Williams, Jr. and wife, Mary Sue of Hickory, NC.
