S. "Mike" Michael Hilton

Mike was born on January 18, 1948 in Mooresville, North Carolina to the late Sidney Clyde Hilton and Virginia Roberts Hilton. He graduated from Garinger High School in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1966. He was a resident of Mint Hill, North Carolina for over 35 years. During that time, he was a devoted member of Arlington Baptist Church.

He was an extremely caring. and selfless person. He had a giving heart and would often put others before himself. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and the loving friendship he had with so many.

Mike enjoyed going to or watching NASCAR races with his son, brother, and grandson. Any activity where he could spend time with his family was always his favorite. He loved music, especially oldies beach music and classic country. Mike cherished his daily walks or running errands with his dog. At Arlington Baptist Church, he was a member of the senior group where they would play cards. In the evenings, Mike enjoyed watching old western movies when there was a good one on or occasionally watching a Panthers game.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Hilton Southworth (Scott) and Steven Michael Hilton (Tara); grandchild, Tyler Evan Hilton (Rachel); step granddaughter Taylor Kempton; great grandchild, Natalie Brooke Hilton; siblings, Dawn Hilton Watts (Carol) and Rodney Hilton (Donna); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mike's honor to the American Diabetes Association.

A visitation for Mike will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM.
