Ruth Watts Sinclair

Ruth “Ruthie” Alda Watts Sinclair, age 96 of Charlotte passed away October 1, 2012 at Levine & Dickson Hospice. A visitation will be from 7:00-9:00PM Tuesday evening at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home. A service to celebrate her life will be at 11:00AM Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, Reverends Brian Taule and Tony Harper officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

She was born May 26, 1916 in McAdenville, NC, Christmas Town USA and reared in Belmont, NC. She graduated from Belmont High School. Mrs. Sinclair married James Henry Sinclair February 16, 1935 in York, SC and was preceded in death by her husband, mother Lula Mae Hope, father, James Elijah Watts, three brothers, Alva Watts (Hazel), Walter Watts (Louise), Marshall Watts (Velma), sisters, Lacy Brown (Guy), Lucy Brewer (Bill), Pearl Wallace (Henry), Lorene (Tommy) Reid, and several nieces and nephews. Surviving are,

Grandchildren,Fred Sinclair (Jeannette), Pam Cadenhead (Mike), David Sinclair (Lori), Lisa Coley (T.J.), Mike Sinclair (Cheri), Chip Creech (Nicole), and Henry Creech (Danielle), great grandchildren, Luke Sinclair, Jacob Sinclair, Emma Cadenhead, Jesse Cadenhead, Andrew Sinclair, Catherine Sinclair, Loren Sinclair, Dallas Sinclair, Morrison Creech, Sinclair Creech, Cecelia Creech, Evelyn Creech, Gabriel Creech, and Abby Creech.

Mrs Sinclair worked for Keith Chiropratic Clinic for over twenty years and was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church of Charlotte. Her hobbies were making Christmas ornaments out of sea shells. She would hunt for these shells on every beach trip and was an avid beach comber. Mrs. Sinclair was a beloved mother and grandmother and we will miss her very much.
