Ruth Elaine Pilker, 91, of Charlotte died Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center – Pineville.
A native of Platte, SD, Mrs. Pilker was born to the late Charles Joseph Christiansen and Leah Cole Christiansen on August 7, 1921. She was a member of Cole Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Pilker was preceded in death by her husband, William Pilker in 1988.
Mrs. Pilker is survived by her sons, Jim Pilker and wife Rene of Charlotte, Bill Pilker of Marietta, GA; sister, Norma Bridges of Florida and grandson, Steven Pilker of Charlotte.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 11 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte. Interment will follow in Charlotte Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.
