Ms. Ruby Bagley Bryant, 82, of Mint Hill, North Carolina, passed away with family by her side on Thursday, September 20th, 2018. She was born Wednesday, May 20th, 1936 in Chester, SC to the late David Zachariah Bagley and Ruby Bagley. She was predeceased by two siblings, David “Bud” Bagley and Mary Bagley, as well as her loving husband of 57 years, Robert “Bob” Bryant, whom she will be laid to rest alongside.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Beth Bryant Scoggins of Mint Hill, North Carolina; and grandson, Matt Bryant Scoggins of San Jose, California; along with her two sisters, Anne Gordon (Bill) and Bette Williams (Randy), both of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
“Ms. Ruby” has been a dedicated member of the Mint Hill community for almost forty years. During this time, she became one of the founding members of Kiwanis Club of Mint Hill, as well as served various positions within The Order of The Eastern Star, Chapter 353.
To most, Ruby was best known as co-owner of the embroidery company Monogram Magic, which she operated for 27 years alongside her daughter, Beth. She was a faithful and active member of Blair Road United Methodist Church, participating in activities ranging from Sunday School to United Methodist Women.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 am Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Blair Road United Methodist Church, 9135 Blair Road, Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227, with a funeral to follow at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227.
