Roy L Moore

In 1951, he married Bobbie White Moore, who would be the love of his life for 64 years. He served as a lifetime deacon in Carmel Baptist Church and was a family man, always willing to help his neighbors.

Roy earned his degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and spent his career in engineering sales. He was proud to serve his country in the Marine Corp and was awarded the Distinguished American Spirit of Honor award at Paris Island, SC.

He is survived by three children, Vickie Moore Hall (Richard), Jeana Moore Alspaugh (Rick) and Roy L Moore III (Melissa) as well as 7 grandchildren. They are Richard J. (Justin) Alspaugh, Virginia Katherine (Kate) Alspaugh, Caroline N. Hall, Mary M. Miller, David L. Moore, Rachel L. Moore and Matthew M. Moore.

A memorial service is planned at the Brookdale Carriage Club Senior Living Campus auditorium, 5800 Old Providence Road, Charlotte, NC at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016. He became great friends with Mr. Terry Pugmire while he lived at Carriage Club. The family will receive guests in the foyer after the service.
