Born January 18, 1936 in New York, he was a son of Roger, Sr. and Lucille Vinton. Roger retired after 32 years from Kodak Business Systems Division.
Roger had seven children whom he loved and was very proud of: Roger Vinton III (Karen), Susan Davis Lineberger (Greg), Cindy Deuring (Werner), Greg Vinton (Jennifer), Mark Vinton, Kim Dean (Mike), and Steven Vinton; and stepson, Colin Beach; as well as 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra Sproull Vinton.
Roger and Sandi lived for 13 years in the Atlanta area where they were involved in establishing the MacFarlane Nature Park with the Cobb Land Trust, eleven acres of public park behind their home in Atlanta Country Club that has been an asset to the community and will be a gathering place for future generations.
There will be a tree planted at some future date in remembrance of Roger's many years of work to establish MacFarlane Nature Park.
Roger was also very interested in conservative politics. He enjoyed following the stock market, traveling, family gatherings and his beloved Mac (dog).
There will be a celebration of life at a future date as determined by his children.
