So sorry for the loss of your Daddy girls. I knew your Dad was back in the 80s and 90s. Your Dad was a very special man and friend. My family lived on Dakota Street & I knew Bobby my entire childhood. When he opened his auto shop, my daddy only trusted Bobby with his car & truck.  When my parents became older and Daddy would call the shop to see when Bobby could work on his car, Bobby would tell him he would call him back and let him know. Then sometime that same day or the next, Bobby would take the time (and I know how busy he was) to walk to their house and pick up the car, fix it and bring it back. When my dad passed away, Bobby bought his pickup from my mother - not because he needed it, but I think he just didn't want her to have to deal with it.

I have always appreciated Bobby's kindness to my parents and send your family my deepest sympathy.

It is rare as we travel through life's journey that we stumble on such a  rare jewel of a friend like Bobby.  I am not too good with words, but I know Bobby was one who, would share  with others what  he was blessed with.  He has been  a true friend to me over the  years and has helped me in more ways than I can count.   I will truly miss him and the times we shared watching old cow boy movies and sharing  stories.

I am a Cousin of Bobby's from Pennsylvania.  He had a great smile and a great heart.  My  sympathy goes out to Karen, Family & Friends.  I have so many great memories of us growing up, even though miles apart.  Our family & Bobby's family got together a lot of years in Myrtle Beach, we visited sometimes in NC,  sometimes in PA and on Pap's Farm.  And Bobby went with us to Aruba and got to go to Oak Island. There are no words to describe how heart broken and lossed I am feeling. You were the love of my life, my best friend, my sole mate. I’ve known Bobby for about 38 years. A kind man with a sense of humor. I was saddened to learn of his passing. I always look over at his properties when passing to see what he has picked up since the last time. We lived next door at one time. He came around the neighborhood in his Camaro convertible. When he hit the gas it looked like all four wheels came off the ground! He could build fast cars. Hope to meet you in Heaven one day Bobby. RIP

I met Bobby about 5 years ago when he and my daughter Karen got together.   Karen was the Love of his life.   They were such a good team.   I considered Bobby part of the family.   I'm going to miss him coming down with Karen to my house in Florida.   Bobby was always doing something for me,  putting up garage lights, fixing my swing,  the squeak in my car.   One trip down we went to St. Augustine and visited the old fort.   He really enjoyed that.   There was always a case of red canned Budweiser waiting when they came down.   This BUD is for you Bobby! I will miss you.

The West side won't be the same without him. My favorite ornery but honest mechanic, and a good friend. He was just at the inspection shop trying to get me to sell him my cuckoo clock again. I'll miss telling him no every time. All my love and good vibes to the family.

Bobby was an icon in the Automotive community. I have had a car dealership for 30 years on Brookshire and Bobby was always around for advise. From buying US Marshall cars at the bonded warehouse that Bobby had all the info on or just saying hello at the inspection station with Matt or Chris. What a good guy and he will be missed
