Robert "Steve" Smith

Robert "Steve" Smith, 73, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, May 28, 2023 and has gone to live with our Lord and Saviour in Heaven. He was born on March 6, 1950.

Though we will miss Steve everyday, we will remember him for his compassion for others, his sense of humor, and his love of the Lord. Steve enjoyed metal detecting, cooking, and spending time with his dogs, Smitty and Dixie. He had an encyclopedic knowledge and could talk about any subject. His friends and family knew him as someone to turn to for support and advice. He always had time for those who needed him and his kindness for others will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Homegoing Service will be held at 11:30 am on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC.
