Robert Jefferson Jr.

Robert Jefferson, Jr. 82, of Charlotte, went to his homecoming on May 6, 2013. He was born, December 28, 1930, in Chesterfield, South Carolina, a son of the late Robert Jefferson, Sr. and Carrie Lee McKay. He was preceded in death by his wife Willie Ruth Jefferson. Robert always worked hard, starting out as a young child and later as a man, he worked for A-P Warehouse as well as the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory and mourn his passing, five sisters, Mary Etta Bryant of Charlotte, NC, Minnie Lee Bethea of Norfolk, VA, Margie Massey of Charlotte, NC, Lilly Mae Lowery of Williamsboro, NJ, and Hennie Joines of Chesterfield, SC. , and a special cousin Martha Jean Hinson. He was loved dearly and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at a visitation to be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 11 am to 12 pm, at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212. The funeral service will follow at 12 pm in the McEwen Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park. Condolences to McEwenfs.com
