Bob and I were Area Sales Managers together for several years, and spent countless hours together in those roles...in cars and meeting rooms.  Nobody could keep you grounded on what was REALLY important during some of those challenging days better than Bob...and he sure had a way of finding the humor in an otherwise painful Ops review! Like everyone here, many great memories of Bob and those days. Bob always loved a good breakfast and on the road trips where it wasn't prepared to his liking, I can still hear him saying "How can you possibly mess up breakfast???" Bob Hurt made a difference in this world.

When you talked to Bob you always felt special.  He was engaging and always interested in you.  He was a absolute gentleman and a truly terrific man.

I remember Bob well. A great and fun person and a true Motorolan. I know he will be missed. Our condolences to his family and his many friends.

There are very few icons that I reflect on from my Motorola days. certainly there is Art Sundry, Stan DeCosmo, and Bob Galvin to name a few--but Bob Hurt comes from the same place--a mentor, leader and certainly a salesman's best friend. His achievements and friendships will be remembered for many years...

What a great guy and a consumate professional. He taught me a lot at Motorola.  I always enjoyed working with Bob and I'm sure he will be missed by many.   Condolences to his family.

Mr. Hurt  was one of the nicest men on earth, and I loved his ever-present smile, I suspect Bob/Nancy, John/Helen are having a happy reunion in heaven...what a foursome, and what happy memories dating back to way before Craig and I were born. 
He was a constant in the Chilton lives and we will miss him.

Dear Lisa, Scott & Craig, wanted to share my condolences to you & share a warm memory of your dad. Remember him yelling for Craig (7 & the time?)to leave the den & come upstairs so Lisa & her girlfriends could have private conversations. All we did was watch Starsky & Hutch. Bob was my mentor at Motorola. He was truly "one of a kind". He guided me and many others to greater things that we thought we could not do but showed us we could. 

To Scott: Your dad sure was a great man! We will all miss him too.

Bob was a gentleman and a scholar, more importantly he was a man you wanted to spend time with because of his insighfull knowledge regarding the Motorola markets.  I consider myself privileged to have had the opportunity to work, and in many cases be tutored, by Bob Hurt.  Your wit and knowledge will be missed but my memories, of the Bob Hurt stories will last forever.  My consolences to Scott and the family.

We shared so many great times with Bob and Peggy and will remember his laughter and good humor.  We will enjoy the memories.

Bob was one of the good ones.  I interviewed with Bob when I first started with Motorola and Bob told me it was like a paper route.  And, boy was Bob right, we had to do everything to be successful.  It was always a pleasure to be around Bob.  Bob was a salesman's manager, always concerned about the sales person.  Thank you Bob for all the memories.  My consolences to Scott and family. Bob lit up a room the second he arrived. Full of life, Sinatra had him in mind when he sang, "I did it my way". I'll cherish forever all the golf fun he added to my life.

"Bob was another of those "one of a kind" guys.  I have some great Bob Hurt stories.  He was an inspiration to so many of us because he had that "never, never, never give up" mentality.  What a guy.

Bob was always so good to me the whole time we worked together.  He was "larger than life" to everyone who came in contact with him.  I have so many wonderful memories of him.
