Mr. Robert Thomas Bryant, Sr. of Charlotte, North Carolina was born July 14, 1924 to the late Allen and Cleady Bryant of Mount Holly, North Carolina. He departed this life on October 2, 2016. He was a faithful member of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 60 years. Robert worked for over 30 years as a laborer and foreman for P & N Railroad, Seaboard Railroad and CSX Railroad.
Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Rendleman Bryant; daughter, Monica Ann Bryant; siblings, Clyde Bryant, Charles Bryant, Ann Hunter, Helen Alexander and Prunell Blanks.
He leaves to mourn, Roy Rendleman (Nancy), Jacqueline B. Brownlee (Anthony), Vanessa B. Nelson (Ronald), Allen Bryant (Sharon), Robert T. Bryant, Jr. (Mae), Cynthia B. Oxendine and Peggy Davis all of Charlotte, North Carolina; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour before.
